New York – Frederick Bouchardy, founder of fragrance vendor Joya, is co-organizing a new event called The Elements Showcase, which will take place January 30-31, 2011. Other organizers are Jeff Lawson of Jeff Lawson Inc., an art fair production company, and Ulrich Lang of perfume house Ulrich Lang New York.

The curated exhibitor list includes bath, body, home and fine fragrance brands such as Lubin, Santa Maria Novella, Eau d’Italie, Lorenzo Villoresi, Baxter of Calfornia, Duchess Marden, Nejma, Anthousa, Strange Invisible Perfumes, Carner Barcelona and DayNa Decker.

The event is open to buyers, media, and fragrance industry insiders, who can RSVP at legacy.elements-showcase.com. It will be held at the Skylight West loft in Manhattan.

Buyers planning to visit include Barneys New York, Opening Ceremony, Oak, West Elm, Tomorrowland from Japan and more.

“This sort of experience really doesn’t exist in the States-or perhaps anywhere in the world, for that matter,” said Bouchardy. “Designers in the fragrance field don’t have an opportunity to exhibit in an environment that reflects the ambiance and beauty their work seeks to impart.”

The showcase will also host a Fragrance Installation project by students from the Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing program at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

The Elements Advisory Board includes experts from manufacturing, retail, distribution and media. Partners include William Reith of Atelier Cologne, Elizabeth Beer and Brian Janusiak of Project No. 8, Laurent Delagon and Christopher Yu of United Parfums, Jeff Staple, Marc Atlan, Jessica Alba, Robin Coe-Hutsching, Francois Duquesne and Melissa Green, Anthropologie buyer for beauty, bath and home fragrance.
